Clutch question

Hi friends,

If I need to purchase a new clutch pack ( I have this old ball and ramp system and 12- plates pack, should I put the new 12 plates pack or could it be also new 9-plates pack? Stack height is the same. Some people say that there is no difference. What is better option for me?

I would stick with the 12 plate. According to this doc from Baker Drivetrain you won't need to change your ball and ramp unless you go with the 9 plate.

Where Mr. Wright posts both plate families for said years. Study your plates, go to those sites and match plate family design. Part of knowing how to setup the rod like I know you can. So this is just one more look at the part and studying who is inside to rematch, not jump 9 jump 12 kind of... get it? Stay stock [what you have works] in other words.

The wave plate, always stack not for height, but flatten the wave flat = Trick to N.

Energy One (also one of our advertisers) sells the 12plate for $180 and he won't have to buy a new ball and ramp.
