Clutch problems

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can download a service manual for a 2008 K9 EFI. It doesn't matter what format.

Also, I absolutely love my K9, however I have had one problem after the other ever since buying the ----- thing. I have a 2006 HD Ultra and haven't had the first problem with it since I purchased it. What's up with the big dog. For the amount of money you pay for these bikes you would think that the quality control guy's at Big Dog would be get some of these bugs worked out. Come on Guys, get it together and make a bike that you don't worry about if you are going to make it home or not.

Right now my clutch is slipping in 4th -6th gears. Can this be corrected so that I do not have to worry about it happing again, or is this going to be a on going maintenance nightmare?

Last but not least... Is there anyone out there who has a bike with NO problems.

Ciao

My clutch slipping in 4th was a problem I couldn't solve. I gave up and installed a Karata. Problem solved, permanently.

I have an 08 K9 EFI with just over 10000 mi on it, had 6400 on it when I purchased it in April, had the Voltage regulator replaced the first week and the fork seals replaced a few months later. Other than that she has run perfect, put nearly 4000 miles on it this year including my run to Sturgis and back. Just had the 10000 mi service done on it and it is ready for spring! It has always started and never left me stranded (knock on wood), very reliable, I love my Dog!

I have been through two clutches in 16K. The factory gave out at 12K the second was my fault for not adjusting it properly. One things for sure once it slips there's no adjustment that is going to fix it. Its time for a replacement.

To answer your question about a download I couldn't find anything to download. I finally bit the bullet and ordered the factory service manual. After getting it I was glad I did. Its full of good information!!
