clutch problem solved!

as some of you will know I have been having grief with my clutch. Very hard getting into first when first starting bike, pushrod needing to be 2 complete turns out and this weekend it was slipping badly. Well I got my new clutch rod from Nelson today. I fitted it, adjusted it a quarter turn out from seated, and adjusted the clutch cable. Started the bike, put it in first and no real heavy clunk. Last time I tried this the clutch did not engage at all with the rod only a 1/4 turn out. This time pulled away sweet as a nut and no slipping at all on a quick test ride. Looks like problem solved! Thanks for all your input people - I wouldn't have had a clue without your suggestions.

LEE Good to hear you made it work.Sounds like you had no free play at the pushrod till you backed it more.Did you notice if the old pushrod was binding? Was there any difference in the lenght or dia of the new from the the old rod? You are the first i have read here thats replaced the clucth pushrod.Something i need to remember though.:2thumbs: 05chop

05 - I read on this forum that some of the 05 bikes had a dodgy pushrod - as I was having clutch problems I thought I should give it a shot - glad I did. The old one was the same length but the markings on it were not nearly as pronounced as on the new one as though it had been worn down.

Yeah thanks a lot Nelson you packed it well, you packed it very well. Much appreciated as always. 05 - if you want to get a new one Nelson will sort you out. Not much money at all and easy to fit.

:whoop: :whoop: :whoop:

100 bucks is $100. but when your talking almost a c note and the other party knows it a buck is shorthand for 100.

fannie = camel toe? = front bum
or
fannie = gunt = gut over the cunt = front bum
