Anything short of a burnt clutch you can keep adjusting it down still.
Anything short of a warped clutch steel is when N is going to be a problem; if the adjust does not help.
Anything short of a slipping clutch should I worry about a measurement when I can call the ball on either 3 stated and be under the limit number.

Same analogy as if saying for argument sake, 176psi to 289psi is within spec. 175 psi is when time is up on the blueprint of a serviceable limit. It says to tear it down to maintain its high performance value. But the argument is, you can still run the bike down to 100psi until it stops running. Still some left to go is the wonder.

You know about the fix, right? Fix it before it breaks. The other is fix it when it breaks. When I pleasantly wear out the parts is when I change them. One of those 3 tells me when. So the BS is now fixed.
