clutch lube

I've got a bottle of liquid wrench chain lube and was told by a neighbor that I could use it to lube my clutch. I've checked a few threads and saw that Gas Man and several others are using "Cable Life". Would I be a fool to use this stuff and go ahead ans just get cable life?
