We weren’t out of business?
If yall are in buisness then where have yall been? Emails, phone calls aren't being answered nor responded to. Before I went to BDL about making the open belt drives for the 05 and newer bikes I tried for months to reach out to you and the buisness. If you're stating you're still in buisness and going to support these bikes then we have buisness for you. But we need to know you'll stand behind your word and product.

I’m sorry but for 51 years my father has stood behind his products. So many can say that. He has been very sick for about 8 years-my sister and I have held the fort down. My sister has called people back when she would go check the answering machines, email people back-I have run out IG and FB late and have answered anyone that has reached out and we have shipped out products all over the world STILL. I worked for my dad for many years -customers had my number and would reach out to me as well if they needed something. We did not have the plates but had all the other parts and dad helped those in need and how they could modify if they really wanted to. To openly comment that someone is out of business when they are not and have not been is disrespectful to a company -not having something to being out of business are 2 different things. My dad dedicated himself to Big Dog products and all of his products. He loved making people happy. He was sad the last 8 years when he couldn’t make the parts you all loved so much. He physically could not run the machines anymore. He still felt with customers on the phone as my sister and I handled everything. Moral of the story -don’t talk about a company being closed if you don’t know. My father passed away on Wednesday.. and what he created for Big Dog was always important to him. My sister and I even tried to find ways to make the parts you all needed. My dad ALWAYS stood behind his products.

oh and guess what BDL was going to my father the last year wanting to purchase our big dog line! We said NO bc the business was for sale as a whole. I’ve never gotten a message from you on Facebook or IG page.

Well maybe you weren’t but you certainly weren’t in it either. I know a couple guys with your primaries sitting in a box on a shelf. Clutch baskets shot out. Can’t get replacement part…..Be great if they could & Y’all were still in business.
 :chopper:
Message me at ginamarielongo1281@aol.com or on fb and let me know what you need. I can see what we have when I get back to the shop in a few weeks. Dad passed away and can’t handle going there right now but I’ll look for you and see if we have what you need

Im sorry to gear about your father's passing and my condolences. I'm not questioning your father or his company when he was in good health and making products. My question was are you still in buisness.

Yes or no, do you make full open primaries kits. From your message it seems no because of the motor plates. I don't question if you've taken care of existing customers, but I'm not one. I don't have your personal number or anything like that because I don't have your product on my bike. I reached out the only ways I knew how. I never got a response like a lot of ppl on this forum page. I don't speak for everyone on this page but as a customer looking for a product and never hearing back and seeing not only on this forum page but on fb also it seemed a lot of ppl could not reach anyone for answers nor parts. So based on that I came to the conclusion that the company wasn't making open belt drives for our bikes any long.

And just out of curiosity how do you know I didn't reach out on fb? Do you think my fb name is the same as this forum page? Well just so you know it's not. And if I didn't delete the message I sent to you I'll put up a picture of it. But normally if I don't get a responce I delete the conversation.

I run the FB and IG my dad never touched any social media and my sister was there every Saturday. She checked emails and phone messages. So many have gotten in touch with us.
You are missing the point -we have been in business -we are still in business. A customer I was talking to just was Sturgis King with out magneto.
I haven’t been on this page in years bc of other social media platforms BUT many have reached out to us and we have shipped and sent what they needed.
You stating we are out of business is disrespectful to a company

So the main question is. Does the company that is still in business make or sell open primarys for Big Dog cycles? Can a new customer still buy one? Thank you.

We had all the parts but one and dad would tell people how to get it or modify when he spoke to them bc he could not machine that part anymore. We don’t know what the future holds for Karata -we did list the business for sale a bit ago but during that have been open for business and have been dealing with customers all over the world and shipping all over the world- dad was still talking to customers as too. He would perk right up when he would talk to his customers and help them modify and fix some issue. . If I wasn’t a single mom of 2 and my sister is a doctor who left her job to take care of my dad all these years -we would have made them for you. I’m hoping the future holds that this line gets back in action and continues on.

Condolences to your Family on losing your Father. That’s always a tough pill to swallow. Remember the Good Times & know he made alot of motorcycle riders happy with the awesome machine work he performed. Best Wishes to You & your Sister for the future. I do apologize for making the comment that Karata was closed. Obviously an assumption on my part that was incorrect. In my defense… I do & say alot of dumb shit. I hope you will forgive me.
