Clutch issues

Hey guys. On my 03 Chop I notice when I go for a long ride, over the course of the ride I get more and more play in my clutch. I adjust the cable and it happens again. over and over and over. What will cause this?

Is this the clutch basket center nut loosening up? When over and over adjusting happens, it's not clutch wear happening that fast. Sounds more like basket walking out, so you chase the adjust screw to compensate.

I did try tightening that. I haven't ridden it since. It is a pain to tighten that. Does anyone use locktite on it to keep it from backing out?

Is your cable adjuster backing off? I think your 2003 system is a Harley type clutch/primary.

On our 2007's BDM/Baker drives we use Loctite #2760 ? per manual. NEW hardened NUT & WASHER (black) Torqued a 125 ft/lbs.
