clutch issues

My bike is an 07 mastiff with 13,000 miles, origanal clutch. it is very difficult to find nuetral when the bike is warmed up. Sitting at a stop light with the bike in first gear, it is very hard to shift from first to second, seems like it is bound up.

I tried to adjust the clutch following Gasman's " how to ". After loosening the clutch cable, went to right side loosened lock nut and turn clutch rod to the right trying to get it to seat, so I could back off one quarter turn per the instructions, the problem is, it never would get tight or seat. I did this procedure once before and it did seat and seemed to help.

Anyone have any ideas or thoughts as to what is going on ?

This is a very simple procedure once you completely understand and do it correctly.....sometimes I will hand tighten the clutch rod with only socket and not hooked to ratchet,so as I can tell when the rod is seating with the throwout bearing ....and even after that I might play with it a little ,of course only using small ratchet...then I back off 1/4 of a turn...
If you have done this and are quite sure in your abilities and still are having issues, you might want to drop the primary cover to see if you have other issues in there, clutch hub nut backed off, trans seal and bearings gone, clucth basket disinegrated,ect,ect,ect.....
