Clutch Issue or Not???

Get rid of the stock clutch ASAP. No amount of adjusting or fiddling or break-in miles will fix it. Ask anyone on this forum about all the clutch -shift problems on BDMS'. It will drive you to drink with all the issues the stock set up causes. For under 400.00 including labor, put in the Bandit set up and your bike will be like it should have been from the get go. I promise you, it's the best money you will ever spend on your ride.

I have this same issue on my 07 K9 with about 9k on it.
My clutch cable went at 7100 and after dealer installed it started this.
I had the same thing happen after a different dealer did my 5k

I think I want a Belt drive.

EXPERIENCED THE SAME ISSUE.....

Just out of curiosity – Which dealer performed the 500 mile service? Did you approach them with this issue?

A common answer is …. Rev the motor when moving into natural – always works. That was what I got when I experienced the same issue, nothing but a @$@* PAIN :bang: :bang: . Switched to a Karata 4” open primary with their (Piranha) clutch- WORKS LIKE MAGIC  …..and the one thing I can tell you is …..

When I opened the primary it was the chain tensioning shoe that was COMPLETELY LOOSE – practically falling off – some 500 mile service I had.

Do you know if Karata is still offering that deal?
How many miles do you have on your belt drive now?
