clutch inspection

I thought I'd tear into my primary and inspect my clutch nut & carrier.

What size socket does the the clutch nut take? Every socket I have is either too small or too big (the socket won't fit inside the inner hub). I haven't found any dimensions in my service manual.

Do I need to remove the inner hub too? (the manual says nothing about it)

Thanks :flag:

 30mm for the primary nut and 32mm for the clutch nut ... while you're at it ... just replace it with the Super Bruiser Bandit clutch ... mine works great ... I did just what you are about to do ... I just didn't want the problem of the cariier breaking and doing damage. Remember that the clutch nut is reverse thread. The inner hub will come off with the carrier ... :D

Just a FYI ... you can go to Autozone and rent-a-tool .. so you don't have to have paper weights after you're done with the install ...:job: :flag:
