So the follow up to last weeks teardown of the primary to install the new Bandit Clutch resulted in me needing to also send out my trans ,which I did to Andrew, who recieved it on thursday and wrapped it up by saturday and as we write and read its on a UPS truck heading back to me...Truelly a pleasure and down right good experience to have dealt with Andrew I might say!!!!!! Not to mention the quick turn around time!!!!!!
So this is where my dilemna lies..Andrew replaced my main shaft in the trans, mostly because it was a bit sloppy and the spline was a bit worn from the ole clutch hub back off syndrome,So this morning I call Baker to order a brand new clutch hub and they wont sell them seperately, they want to sell the entire carrier for $395 !!!!! For those of you familiar, when you buy the Bandit set-up you get a new aluminum carrier, much stronger and nicer than Bakers, but you have to have your hub pressed into it..I am wondering if anyone has changed out their clutch assembly and for whatever reason has a clutch hub laying around they want to get rid of???? Please let me know if you do and hopefully we can arrange a price and shipping so that I can get my bike back together..... Thanks very much....

So what did you do?? Buy the entire new carrier plus hub, then press the hub outta there and then press it into the Bandit carrier?????

No I got lucky and a buddy of mine gave me one he had.
Since then I have had several people I have tried to help find one with no success.
I'm working on making the hub in house but it is a ways down on the project board.

I did talk to John from Bandit and he said if I send him one he will duplicate it,it wouldnt be an overnite thing,he said it'll take him a little while, and then he would be able to have them to press right into the carrier for when we order Bandit Clutches in the future....
Looks like it'll be a neccessity in the near future as our bikes get older...I agree with you about Baker..kinda real shitty not wanting to sell us just the hub...makes my decision to have Andrew work on my trans a no-brainer....As well as it should the rest of the forum!!!!!!!!!!

Can't you go to your local machinist and have him press the old hub off and onto the new carrier? Why do you have to send it back to Bandit? Just wondering...

You misunderstood.....my hub has backed off twice, therefore slopping up the splines in it,so I need ,or its in my best interest to get a new one.Baker only will sell the carrier, bearing and hub complete, they wont sell just the hub..I dont need a Baker carrier when I just paid for a Bandit carrier.....
So this is why I am looking for a hub.......
