l posted a little while ago that l was having problems changing down, the advice was to ajust the clutch push rod, which l did and it seemed to reslove the problem, but once the engine is warm l still have the same problem, so l ajusted it again being very careful to back off the push rod lock nut the correct amount, rode the bike and the same problem is there, l can change up no problem, but 70%of the time l cant get 3rd or below changing down, this all seemed to start after having a Baker belt drive fitted ? has anybody has this type of problem, or can anybody offer me advice please.

Try backing the nut off in small increments. Sometimes the recommended amount is too much, or too little. If you adjusted it and it was great, then you just need to tweak it a little one way or the other.....jmo.

Just under your shift lever on the trans, there is a nut. Don't mess around with it, it is for adjusting the barrel in the top of the trans. But put a wrench on it and make sure it is tight. I had one a few months back that was doing the same thing. Couldn't find the problem, and just happened to put a wrench on that nut, and it tightened about 1/4 turn, and the cured the problem. Luckily, we didn't have to readjust it.
