I have a 2006 K-9 and broke the clutch cable . Does BD make a special cable or can I use a Harley softale style cable. I would like to use a Barnett cable , And does anybody know how long the cable is . It looks like 66" ?

BDM gets their cables from Barnett. Mine for example came in a Barnett bag listed as''2" under stock."

sounds like the way to go . Just looking for a better cable didn't know that they were made by Barnett guess they don't get any better. Looks like there are a lot of Clutch cables breaking with about 5-8000 miles .

How many miles did you have on it?

Looking at you picture there is the hole that the handle pivots on . When the handle is installed in the housing the cable will rub on the handle on the out side of that hole . I have 6500 miles on mine . Is this were most cables are breaking?

Mine didn't break at the handle either. Was at the clutch ball end! The handle part looks to be typical for most bikes.

I see what you mean but I don't think it touches there... but then again I'm not geometry major either.
