Broke my second clutch cable at 23,000 miles, not sure when I broke the first, some where around 5,000.....I think.
At least this time I got a warning, felt some of the strands breaking and could still engauge the clutch a little. Got turned around and rode 40 miles back home, made it without having to come to a complete stop, that's luck. Had my spare on in about 1 hour and back on the road.
To all the nubies on the forum be forewarned, your clutch cable will break......kind of makes you feel real comforitable doesn't it. Get a spare! If your going on a long trip, bring it along, you never know when it's going to break.:2thumbs:
