There was a post on here a while back that gave a HD number for that cable.

I have not been on here for a while but talked directly to Barnet about the cables that they made for our dogs and they said that the cable for the hogs that will work is not as reliable as the one they made for the dogs, in the design for it they beefed up something at the tranny end and he also stated that these cables should not stretch if anything they will break but they should not stretch out.

Just broke my clutch cable on my 2010 Bulldog bagger yesterday, 4.200 miles. It broke at the ferrule at the transmission end. Lever always pulled smooth and easy and when I tore it apart all parts at the transmission end were clean and greased well. It just looks like a very weak area where the ferrule is crimped on the cable. If I had the ferrule and a crimper I could fix it easy.....but now I am waiting on a cable from BDMPP. I found out the cable is 2" over a stock Harley cable. Just don't know which one:angry:
I had a 20 mile ride home with no clutch, not a big deal until I had about 20 stoplights to negotiate through town! Not as easy as you might think. I had to stop a couple of times and start it in gear to get going again. Couldn't have done it without a good battery. (tomiokaracing)
I would strongly advise the other bagger guys out there to get one ordered for your bike. I will keep a spare now.

I ordered 2 different ones for my 2007 and both were different. The inner cable is longer than the BDM. Had to adjust all the way out at the adjuster in the cable. I ordered the BDM and it works great. I still have both cables if someone needs one bad. They will work but have little room for adjustment. One was put on at Harley and the other I ordered off ebay. I think they are 67" long. The BDM they sent me is 64" that fit on my 2007 chopper.
That is why I now have the EFM Auto Clutch on my Dog. If my clutch breaks, won't have to shut her down at stop lights to get going again and never stalls when you take off. You can up or down shift without the pulling the lever if you want to. I like mine, it is great in traffic too.

Most bike shops over here can replace the cable and ferrels and solder the two togehter once they have a given length.
While apart make up a pull through to clean the outer and then spray it with contact cleaner to remove bits of shit. I use a good quality chain wax in an aresol to lubricate my cable on all my bikes over the years, seems to work fine.

When my first cable failed I was talking with the guys at Barnett and they say the Baker ball and ramp is a bad design and puts the end of the cable in a bined when the lever is pulled. So I changed to hydraulic but I really like the auto clutch option.

I talked to Barnett yesterday and they said send the cable in and they would take care of it. That's the kind of customer service that I like.:up: Not sure if they are just going to fix it or replace it. Its so new, just a fix will be fine. I still would like to know why it broke. My clutch always pulled easy.

I got an EFM auto clutch too. It's the best thing since sliced bread, except when you need to use the trans for an emergency brake, or push start the bike. I am very happy with mine (and now carry jumper cables).That is why I now have the EFM Auto Clutch on my Dog.
