Clutch cable snapped

Just wondering if n e one knew the length of the clutch cable for a K9? Or where to possibly get one?

I have a stock one off my 09 K9 that I can measure tonight if you don't come up with an answer today.

Appreciate that, I don't remember if mine is stock or not, I replaced the entire bar, gauges, controls on the bike and don't recall if they replaced that as well. But if u could take a measurement and a few pics for me I'd appreciate it a bunch!

looking at your pics it looks like you have non Big Dog controls on the handlebars and given that you had the bars changed by your own admission, I don't know that a stock cable is going to help at all.

Do you have a pic of the bike before the cable broke so we can see about how much your bar setup is different from stock?

Yes but it is telling me the file is too large, I'll try one of the entire bike from the back so u can zoom in on it. I also have pictures at the top of this post

I would suspect the length should be the same just needs a Harley cable.

K9 is 67" I think?

Looking at the bars in that picture, I suspect that you need a marginally longer cable (by 1 or maybe 2 inches) but can not tell for sure.

Come on, someone has to know the best way to actaully measure for length you need.

i still have my broken one and from the top eye to the point it broke at the ball & ramp, the cable itself is right at 72" with the sheath being maybe 2" shorter. '07 K9

Appreciate all the input, I'm gunna jot the p/n down for harley and see if that's what my guy tells me when I take it to him to match it.. another question that I've been plagued with for years is is the clutch supposed to be that stiff? Took it apart when I bought the bike years ago and it slid through the sheathing smoothly so I knew it wasn't cable issues. N e ways I was basically told I could get back on my honda if it made me feel better or buy some pussy Springs to install and replace the clutch every few thousand miles.. lol.. that sound about right??

There are threads on here regarding clutch adjustment -- when doing it be patient and thorough. First couple of times I had to do it more than once myself to dial it in just right.

If you really hate the clutch pull look into an EFM autoclutch which is on my current project list for this winter.

Just didn't know if it was normal or not on these bikes is all.. I mean I have gotten used to it and every time I hope on any of my other bikes I feel like Hercules! Lol
