Clutch cable replacement

does anyone have a how to thread on replacing the clutch cable on a 2004 chopper with a baker 6 speed? the end ring that attaches to my clutch hand lever just let go on me. i got the hand assembly off but i just want to get a visual on what i'm dealing with before i pop the cover off the tranny

why do you need to pop the cover off the tranny? having said that I'm not familiar with the 04's

No need to pop the tranny cover... its all in the hand control and front pulley cover.

Pull the cover


Disessemble the ball ramp assembly



There is a farrel on the end of the cable that is removed that can be seen in pic above with the bolts


Now simply un bolt the cable housing from the pulley cover...

Don't forget to use a good synthetic grease when you put it back together... I suggest mobil 1

I also need to replace my clutch cable, but on my baker 5 speed,with left side drive it is different than those shown in the pics. Does anyone know about replacing this type ? I would like to kno0w what to expect when I take off the trannys side cover.
