Clutch basket hub broke

So I pulled my primary to check things out and change the oil. I am glad I did.
I found the clutch basket was very loose and apon further investigation I found it was totally broke.

Maybe this is why it was slipping.

It is supposed to look something like this.

But instead it looks like this.


the good news is that the broken part seperates from the rest of the basket and Arlen Ness can order the part for me for ~ $81.00.
It is supposed to be in on Friday.

I think at some point or another, all, and I mean all the 2005 Baker shit carriers will fail!!! Give it time...

It is the weakest point in the bikes drivetrain.

I just called the parts departmet and ordered the a new part, I hope they send the new design.
How would I contact them about an out of warranty issue like this?

They won’t send ya the old one, if they do shove it up their asses!!! :eek: :eek:
The holes on the new one are "D" shaped. :2thumbs:

This Bandit clutch is EASY pull and HOOKS UP!!! 10 times better than the stock and Bandit says you can put whatever horsepower to it you want and it will take it!!!

And Jake... I think what makes them hook up so much better is the spring set up vs the pressure plate.

The RMD open belt drive like mine comes with a banditt setup similar to that.

For what it's worth,there has been a bandit clutch in my 72 fx since 1986 & never had to change a part yet.btw back then it was a $900.00 hit.their stuff is killer!! (I just jinxed myself didn't I)dammit man
