hey guys we are working on my buddys 04 mastiff the stator went out. hes being hearing a bad awful sound at idle like someting knocking in prim. cover. we found the problem the clucth sprocket on the clucth hub that the chain runs on was lose and moves and wobbles. my question how do you separate the basket from the hub to get acesss to the allen screws to tighten the sprocket gear. im thinking its a pressed unit is this true?????????????

I have a pic from last Aug. when Gas Man and I took off my tranny nut because it was loose and red loctited it at 100ft lbs. yeah...Gas would be able to answer that question....he probably has some pic's too! I haven't had my clutch out so I'm not sure....but I think you would have to remove the clutch basket to get access to the bolts for the sprocket

guys i checked the how to's out yall reffered. only info i seen is when it was mentioned he took to the dealer and drop it off to get pressed out and pressed on new bandit cluth assembly. so i guess i will take up to shop i just seeing if it was possible without having to take it to a press..

No, you need a press and it doesn't have to be the dealer. I took mine to the local auto parts store that has a machine shop.

Redneck press! take a bottle jack place under your heavy truck rear axle and press away.
