Clutch and speedo ???

Hey Kids; I have two ?? first the speedo on my 07 bulldog needs a FULL FULL charge to make the thing work also no miles going on the meter . Is this common???
Second the clutch slips AFTER 500 ck at dealers. Do any of you have advice or at least what to check?? The hand control is set rite. they ( the dealer )said its the nut. other shops said it maybe bad plates.

I've experienced problems with both of these things. I had my speedo replaced as you'll find many a thread on here saying the same.

I had to readjust the nut on my clutch twice. It backs itself off easily. Again, there are threads on this here too.

Both are common problems and nothing to stress over. Just the happiness of owning a dawg. They like to be maintenanced!

Sorry to hear about the winter there. Ugh. I'm going to climb on the back of Lola today for a quick ride when it hits 60 today here.

Thanks I have read most all threads on this. My dawg is my fav. the soonest I can see is daytona to get on and get off

Scott......as T said...many of us had our speedo's upgraded to the newer ones with the heavier bracket....but my speedo would feeze up every now(just tach would work..no speedo or miles) and then when it got real cold...like 30 some degrees...then when I would ride for a few miles it would work again....(this was last winter)then when my scoot was at my dealer...they put in the 310 cca battery and down loaded the new firmware for the EHC......after that...no problems:up:
last ride I took on my bike was the week before Thanksgiving and it was 32 degrees out...speedo worked fine....still get the fogging though........it will sweep when you turn the key on...then after you hit run and start...when you let go of the start button..it will sweep again......

Thanks Dave, I do have the usb connection but do not get the second swing of the needle . its going to the shop Monday
