I always kick mine up in neutral before I come to a stop, slides right in. But if your already stopped try reving the motor a little and it should go in neutral. Try these methods before you go adjusting the clutch.

There is a great "how to" by Gasman on how to adjust your clutch, just do a search and if will show up. It is very easy to do.

Make sure you are using Spectro HD platinum gear oil 75 140 or the 6 speed oil Spectro Fully Synthetic Oils in the Gear Box.

Oh holy crap...I do not have the way over priced Spectro oil in my gear case....yet I am able to find neutral at any given time.....The type gear oil you use will not keep you from finding neutral,as long as the weights are correct, yet an out of adjusted clutch just might....Like they said above,go to the 'HOW TO' section in the forum and it will break down how to adjust clutch.....

Oops, I wasn't thinking about the cost with 2 quarts sitting in my garage and replacement only every 5,000 miles. I agree that Spectro is expensive but I do all my own maintenance.

I used the how to adjust from here and i had the same trouble. I helped alot and now i just shift into second and back down to neutral. Hard to find from first, but great from second down. Just my two cents.
