Clutch actuator

ok guys- I was testing out the new piranha jr. and the clutch lever went completely slack. :bang: :bang: Thought I broke the clutch cable. I pulled apart the clutch actuator and found my problem.

Not sure how to get the stopper back through the actuator  Any ideas? Do I need to pull the cable from the handle bars and thread it through and back up to the bars from there?

I want to get the grease cleaned out of the actuator so I can see what I'm doing. Anyone know what kind of grease goes here?

I'm not too sure what you mean but there is a little ferrule in there which you might not have seen because of the grease. Find it and take it off and everything should thread through.

looks to me like the ferrule pulled off the end of the cable??????

you could be right wood - not very clear is it. Irish guy - clean out all the greae and pull the ramps apart and it should all become clear. Be careful not to lose the ferrule. As for the grease I think I just used bearing grease last time I did mine.

Ok thanks guys. Got it figured out. There is a little ball that the ferrule goes into that keeps it connected to up the actuator. Didn't realize it was in there because of the grease.

Gas- got it. Thanks  I will pick some up and get it slathered on.

I think the black gunk is primary oil that works its way along the pushrod? Won't be a problem anymore with the karata :whoop:
