New Braille battery, battery posts are tight, vr replaced a month ago, battery is fully charged from being on a tender plus, no flashing lights or dash....stop to get gas...click, click. Starter just does a hard click. Push in decompression solenoids, try to push start it 4 times in 3rd and 4th gear. It won't start. Call Rodney's Cycle House, tow truck arrives (this all happened yesterday) and here I sit. Knowing it'll be at least Tuesday before they look at my bike. F@#k!! 2008 K9 with 7300 miles. Had 5000 mile service done at 6500 miles. Sucks........I just don't expect these kinds of problems with this new of a bike.

do you keep your battery on a tender????? out of curiosity did you try tapping your starter with,say,a hammer handle while attempting to turn it over???If battery aint fully charged i dont care what latest and greatest part you buy that you heard from here ..it just wont work.....oh yeah ........and lower your expectations.....

Agree about the battery. But I used my 15 amp battery charger the day before as well. Then replugged it back into my tender. Ur right about the expectation........sheese.

And didn't use a hammer or anything to tap it. Didn't have the tools.

I used to have to find anything laying on the ground around me on any given day or nite....all it needed was a tap and it would start spinning...then i just bought the plunger and bolted that on and wouldnt you know...i have only had to use it 1 time....

yep i have mentioned the button a few times.saved me a few times till i got my hd battery and no more problems:2thumbs:

Did you try to start your bike with the seat off, or did you check the ground cable going to the starter is it tight (I like tight ) or was it hot. I had a similar problem where the battery post had dug into the seat backing pad which was grounding out my Starter. I have since place a 1/8 thick rubber self adhesive pad on the back side of the seat and switched the Battery post from top to side mount. Hope that helps

You need to put a volt meter on the battery and see if your getting 12.8 volts or better then you can go from there.
