Thanks for all of the reply's...even the not so constructive ones. I plan on some days that will have 600+ miles...and after the first 30 June bugs I've usually had my fill! I agree windshields can absolutely kill the looks of a bike, that was the reason for this thread. To get opinions on which shield would do less "damage" to how the bike looks. Thanks again.:flag:

This is what I put on my Mastiff, it is clear can be removed and or lite up depending on what you want. It came from wind vests

I personally like the fact that its stops them little rocks like the one that took out my friend eyeball. I can handle the bugs they don't taste that bad.

I use mine when I ride long distances (over 100 miles or so) not locally.

Cool or not cool ain't got nothing to do with a windshield. Bugs in your teeth not cool either. Just means you were smiling will riding without a windshield. Put what you want on there, I like the clear better, less obtrusive.

I had a clear one on my Mastiff. You can see it's not very visible but worked well on all the bee's.

I use it on long trips and yes it does help with the buffeting and bugs. I have made trips with and without it. Better trip with it on.

Had a 16 " windshield first - didn't like it.
Cut it down to 10.5 " and added a higher handlebar (4" higher from '06 Mutt).
Now its perfect for me.

I won't ride without it, I don't like bee's and bugs bouncing off my face. Is it functional, absolutely, clear or tinted, personal choice.

BWG56 is that a 14" or 16" ? Does it give you pretty good protection? Is it from Big Dog or Windvest and if from Big Dog was it a pain in the ass to put on? Thnks!
