I am looking to buy a 16" windshield for my '07 Bulldog. I am on the fence though about the clear or tinted. I saw a Mastiff with the tinted and it looked pretty good. Haven't seen one with a clear windshield though. Any suggestions?

Depends on what you like...here's a shot of a clear one for your comparison.

Also, I recommend you order directly from WindVest (who makes them for BDM). The Mount that BDM has BLOWS BIG DONKEY D_CKS! You have to remove the &^%*&^(^ handlebars to pull the windshield. What F'n bonehead thought that was a good idea???

WindVest will sell you their standard mount which is MUCH better and MUCH easier to remove (Four bolts)

I wish I had more money.
I think they look alright. I saw a couple chicks riding the other day that had them. Didn't look to bad on their bikes.

Look -- why the fuck'n hate on this topic? There is an ass load of shit I don't like, but I ain't riding it so what the fuck do I care.

The man asked a simple question. If you don't have something to fucking contribute then fucking start a "I hate [fill in whatever here]" thread.

I'm really gett'n tired of this shit....

My .02 - The tinted looks better on a dark color and the clear on a light color bike. Do look into the wind vest as the mounting is better. The wind vest can be removed much easer if you do not want to run the windscreen all the time.

I saw that coming. If you ask for opinions, you're going to get them for better or for worse. Personally I don't like windshields at all but if I were to have one I would probably go with clear. I haven't seen too many windshields on your type of bike in person though so it's hard to say.

They ain't exactly cool but I feel there comes a time in your life where you just have to do what you want. That being said I guess I'm still to cool because I wouldn't mind one but it's not happening. LOL Clear is less noticable.

That's probably true. I bet a tinted shield would look a little better on a dark colored bike and a clear on lighter color bikes.

I'd have to agree with a few above that the tinted windshield is better suited for a darker shade of color on the bikes. IMHO

I just put a tinted one on my 08 K-9. My bike is black cherry mono colored. The one that comes for the 08's is only 10 1/2 inches so it isn't a large wind sail and looks pretty good on it. The mount does go on between the bars and the top tree, but it is fairly small and there are only 4 bolts holding it on, so if I want to pull it off for in town riding it is easy, and with it off the mount is hardly noticable. I plan on doing some serious road trips and wanted something to help cut down the wind buffeting and bug & rain bullets. To each their own... the bike looks really clean without it, but it really isn't that obtrusive with it on. Just my humble opinion.

We mod our rides as we see fit. To each their own. I like the fact that no two Big Dogs are alike and if you want to put something on your scoot, then that is fine with me. Who the fuck cares if I do not like what you do, cuase I sure as shit do not care if you like what I do or not.

Smoothiewop, we would all appreciate an INTRO.

Lets see pics of the scoot though.

I put a 10.5 tinted on our K9. Our bike is black w/live flames, and it isn't too obtrusive. (IMHO)
As a side note, I tried a 12" first and had to swap it for a 10.5. With the 12", you had to look through and the distortion was too much. I know the shape of our bikes are different, but make sure you can see over what ever you get.
Even the 10.5" had an effect on my passenger. My wench says it made a lot of difference for her.
To each their own on windshields. I've ridden for 45 years and rarely had any wind protection on any of my bikes, but this makes a 400 mile day easier for both of us.
