TexasRaider it's good to hear that Strokers took care of you; they are a class act for sure. I am moving to Wichita Falls in February so I will get to keep Strokers as my dealer and I am thankful for that. I will be on the lookout for the bubbles but I hope it doesn't happen to my tank even though I know I have Strokers backing me.

I think this is what he may have used - You have to remove your paint saver and replace it with the new one.

Yes this is the one I used it was very easy to remove the paint saver with a large easy out dont even waste time with the BD tool it just peeled the edge off my saver so I went thru the inside, just heat it up with a hair dryer a few times and twist it out. The paint saver is glued in with JB Weld for fuel tanks. It will melt at 480 degree's (if I remember right) but you do not have to get it hot enough to melt only need to be able to twist the old one out and then pick out the remainder of the JB Weld. its the best $25.00 I have ever spent for the easy out and now I have a cool tool that I will never use again lol.. you all be good I am going to Myrtle in the am. Lots to do.

OK, I'm just kidding Amy. I have to agree, when the warrenty is out,,,,it's out. Don't expect anything free after that. You should have gotten the exteneded warranty!

LOL BadBrad...I don't mean to sound testy. Bob is just a great guy who does the best he can. I think people forget that he has to answer for his decisions also and needs to stay within company policy. That being said...extended warranty is right! I have seen the extended warranty save customers thousands of dollars! :up:

I understand his frustration. Maybe he jumped the gun a little but you guys should cut him some slack. He did calm down in the later post and I'm sure he'll get his problem resolved. Although I'm sure in the future it will get done outside the factory by someone who does good metal work and paint before it's over. He definitely came to the wrong site to bitch because some on here believe that BDM can do no wrong and that Jesus didn't walk on water he road across it on a Big Dog Motorcycle. I'm only surprised the thread lasted this long and didn't get shut down by the Mods at the first mention of a LAWSUIT. Good luck with the PitBull I think it's BDM's best looking bike. My back just wouldn't let me ride a hardtail.

OK guys, keep this in a positive direction. If you don't agree with a lawsuit, state that and move on, no need to bash anyone. If you have a fix, pass it along.

We all get pissed from time to time and need to vent, obviously atago reached this point.

I don't know about the rest of you but I'd be pissed if my tank leak gas/fumes that ruined my paint!
