Can anyone tell me what's included in the "chrome package" and what they normally tack on to the price? Looking at a new black and chrome 08 K9 carbed with "chrome package" for asking price of $28,775. Thanks.

I believe the chrome package is an additional $2000 and includes - Hand Controls, Forward Controls, Wheels, Pulley, and Brake Calipers

More Chrome

They need a trade in program like many Harley dealers do. Bring in my wheels and go home with chrome ones.

Chrome is well worth the money.
I, myself, would beg to differ!!!:D

Chrome and salt water do not mix! Polished all the way!!!

I have removed alot of my chromed items and replaced with polished. They will always look good with a little work, chrome eventually goes bad from the back side. Then it costs ya!

I'm with Jake on this one, saw it first hand while I lived in SC.

I have one of the first chrome k-9 that came out this year. It is everything but your triple trees, cam cover and tag holder.. It is worth the money, nothing is worse than polishing ...

It all depends on what part of the country you live in, how much time you have and want to invest in polishing your Dog, etc. As for me, I'd rather be riding, but I do want to ride a clean, shiny Dog and I'm pretty far away from the nearest salt water...so it's a "no-brainer" for me - CHROME!!!!

Yes, I think BDM is missing the boat on this. Look what Harley makes on aftermarket parts

How hard could it be to offer this to their dealers? they could probably get another $1500-2k out of every bike sold

That's a nice deal! My dealer didn't offer it to me. I would have definently done it. It's hard to keep up with my rims!

I live 2 miles from the beach. Not putting bike in the ocean. Salty air not an issue. Chrome for me all the way.
