choppin steel sissy bars

i have ordered a bar from eric for my 2007 chopper i have never seen a mounted sissy bar on our bikes what i am wonderin is from you guys that allready had eric make you one is the very bottom of the bar threaded and i just run a bolt up through the strut to hold it on??????or what exactly keeps the sissy bar connected to the struts?????any pics would actually be terrific

I have an 05 Chopper and yes it bolts up through the fender strut. Don't remember the size of the allen head bolt though.

yep, eric's bar will duplicate the stock bar in the way it mounts

If I remember right, I think its 3/8" allen bolts

jim... does your fender struts have the holes in it towards the rear... that will accept the sissy bar????

no the holes come straight down through the struts from a vertical point not like the older ones....and why am i lucky or not????

definately lucky being an '07 with the bar ready struts. saved himself $600+. could buy yourself a couple good mods for that price. :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :angry: :angry: :bang: :bang:

Eric just built my bar and it mounts from the rear.Mine takes a 5/16 fine thread allen. Hope that helps!By the way ,Eric's work is art.
