Well, heres my two cents.

Chopper RT - Had the Rolling Thunder Frame
Chopper DT- Had the Daytec frame
Chopper BDM - Had a Big Dog Frame

Others on here know WAY more then I do. Maybe someone else can verify this or correct me if I'm wrong.

RT- The voltage regulator is mounted between the down tubes in front of the oil filter. rear axle caps are flush with the frame. On most RT's Ive seen, the front of the seat does not extend all the way to the rear of the gas tank. They also have the Canadian "Maple Leaf" logo stamped on the circular part of the top motor mount(triangular part under the gas tank). I think the RT frames had a cracking issue at some point.

DT- The voltage regulator is mounted underneath the frame, (it's hard to see it unless you're under the bike)under the front motor mount. The rear axle caps do not fit flush with the swing arm frame, but rather mount on top of it. The front of the seat fits pretty much up next to the rear of the gas tank.

BDM- ???

I'm not sure if the seats are interchangable between the frames either.

DT's are generally better built, better looking, faster, and tend to attract supermodels. :D

Well, the answers are good ones, no doubt! BUT, what the hell is "Chopper" with no abreviations behind it? I was also wondering why there are variables on the specs of the motors, I see that some are 111's and some 117's now on the k-9 250's they've dropped the size again. I really can't figure out why they have others tagged just "Chopper". Seems like that should be concidered a "Chopper BDM" wouldn't you think. This is gonna' bug the hell outta' me 'till I figure it out!:bang:

they are all the "Chopper" model. the initial suffix just refers to the manufacturer of the frame. each frame has different characteristics so find out which one you have and don't worry about the others.

Well, if the companies that sell the parts for them list catagories for "Chopper" and also all three other models, that would mean you are wrong. Just sayin', but thanks for telling me like it was. :2thumbs::job:

It's okay, I just haven't seen anything on any BDM sites that explain any of this, and I know it has to be SOMETHING or they wouldn't name them like they do. If a Chopper and a Chopper BDM are different, it can't just be the frames. If so why distinguish which one you have when you buy an add on part that doesn't have anything to do with a frame? SO. which is which. What distinguishes one from another?
