It sounds like it is coming from the triple tree but all redone and still there. Any ideas?
I'm going to walk the noise, see if it makes logical sense. I've [assume] repacked the triple with grease, inspected the bearings for 'chrip,' figured a lube would make it quiet on the lift and load at the throttle. While the front wheel was off, I lubed the wheel bearing seals, thinking the 'chirp' would be here at the on/off of the throttle. Even lubed the throttle cable and tube so this whole front end work did not stop the chirp.
So i have redone everything from the triple tree forward.
That's what I said. Everything forward, but I can't see a lift is going to squeak a wheel seal, or a front end knock is replaced by a chirp.
And it still makes a chirping sound everytime I shift or let off the throttle.
But if I think chirp, and if chirp still represents a rubber component like a sneaker on a wooden floor chirp, let the clutch out on the car too fast the tire chirps?
So if I apply the lift and load as a chrip, I'm pointing to a rubber belt being pleasantly worn out equally with the sprocket tooth. That means if I'm diagnosing the word 'chrip,' it sounds like the belt tooth rides up on the sprocket tooth on lift, then moves back to the load side of the tooth on the return to open throttle is the other chirp.
1. Belt too loose?
2. Sprocket and belt teeth look worn?
3. Double You Dee Forty to the rescue?
4. Pepper me forty a little, or soap de jour?
