Chirping noise on right side

Lately I've been hearing a chirping noise from the right side of my 06 K9. Checked the belt and it could need a little more tension. I also watched a video stating the tranny could loose. Any thought out there

I have a ‘04 ridgeback & occasionally I can hear a chirping sound also. Usually I just jack the bike up and wipe the belt down with soapy warm water. Not sure what causes it but that takes care of it for at least a couple/few good rides.

Soap or bees wax on the belt edge helps. Might want to check the rear wheel aligment.

New pulley will eliminate the chirp. New ones are teflon coated. Paul is correct, add a bit of bar soap or beeswax to the edge of the belt and chirp should go away for a while.

My chirp was caused by wear of the splines on the front drive pulley that engage the transmission shaft.
