Chipped Paint

I have a little chip on my back fender and it's driving me crazy.

I was wondering if anyone had an idea on where I could get touch up paint for my BD Chopper. The Dealer or go to a local auto body.

Maybe it would be better to have the whole damn thing shot with a new coat.

IDK, any ideas?

Thanks, Chutney77

I would first say it all depends on the color. If it's a solid color I would try duplicolor touch up from the auto store. If it's something wild then I would probably do the fender but it might not match up perfectly either so your in a a tough situation.

I agree with Wolf try to get it repaired locally if possible and avoid downtime with no bike:2thumbs:

If its custom like Rainman said you might try to do something with a touch up and then have a professional repair this winter

We order the touch up kits all the time. Just need your Project Number. They run around $30.00 for the kit.

I contacted bdm and they gave me the paint code.I then went to a local auto body supplier they mixed me a quart so I could paint my exhaust bracket. perfect match.

I ordered a touch up kit through a local dealer and it was about $30.00 also. Had the same problem with a chip in the rear fender. It came with 3 bottles. Black, clear and hardener.

I'm going to need the same thing.
I removed my paint saver ring and installed a pop up gas cap.
I put this stuff called Lip Gloss, a two part epoxy, around where the paint stops and the threads began.
It worked real good, but now have about an 1/8th" where the is no paint.
Was going to use acrilic nail polish to touch up.
But maybe i'll wait and order the correct color from BD.

PM Nelson at WB Cycles and give him your Project Number off the neck of the bike and he can get you the Touch-Up kit. On my 06 K-9 the Project Number was on the left hand side of the neck. Not the VIN# my project number is Y6932.
