Checking your nuts. . . . . . . . and bolts

I'm curious. It seems to me that these Dogs vibrate a good bit. As a general rule is it smart to check the nuts and bolts from time to time just to ensure they are tight? Or would that be 'overkill'? Nuts and bolts generally don't come loose so no checking is needed. Or have some of you actually experienced the loss of their nuts, bolts. Not trying to be 'too' cute but I have wondered about such things? Should be some interesting remarks if nothing else:lol:

Tell you what...when you start losin' expensive stuff bcs you didn't check, you'll know what to do then....you won't ever find a BDM owner confused between red and blue Loctite, either...we be experts.....
My last was a $80 chrome fat spike off the bottom of my Mean Streets front end..ouch....

I lost a sissy bar pad and backing plate. I know within a 2 mile stretch where I lost it and never found it. Wallet is $175 lighter.

ALWAYS check your nuts and bolts! I just got my Ridgeback and already lost a lower Primary Bolt!! You just never know with the way these things vibrate and unless you installed the nuts and bolts yourself I just dont trust them so I am always checking them especially after a long ride!!!

I would add that when you do check them you may be breaking the loctite on them. I remove them, chase the threads and re-loctite them
