I have a 2005 pitbull that i just bought and i cant figure out how to check the oil. I open the oil tank and there is no dipstick on the cap and i cant see in the tank due to it being right side drive. Someone please let me know what to do. Ive never had a big dog before so dont really know much about them. thanks in advance.

CHECK OIL LEVEL: The engine oil level should be
checked when the engine is at normal operating
temperature. When checking the oil level, the motorcycle
must be straight up and level. Except for softail models
which must be checked when on the side stand. Remove
the seat on all models except the PITBULL AND
RIDGEBACK. Remove the oil cap by unscrewing counter
clockwise (all models). The oil level should be just up to
the bottom of the filler neck. Use caution to avoid overfilling
the oil tank.

PITBULL AND RIDGEBACK: The oil tank is mounted
directly under the transmission with the oil cap and fill
neck located on the right and front of the oil tank. The
correct oil level should just reach the bottom of the fill
neck.

What he said. I have gotten use to using my middle finger and can just touch the oil at the top of the tank as mentioned.

So now I have two uses for the middle finger (three if my girl comes by):D
