Check those tank connection hoses!

If yor tank happens to have a small hose connecting the halves, check them!
I noticed a brown stain on my exchaust, it looked like burned gas, where could that come from? Touched the connection hose and the whole thing fell off!
Yes, you can call me lucky, I was home and not smoking...
Anyway, that piece of shit looks like this

Notice how short the pipe in tank is, the clam doesn't sit on the right place and will cut the hose

While you check that pay attention to the hose itself!

And finally, if your bike does not have compression valves and you take pictures like those, make sure you cover that bloody hole. It is deep, and that stupid shiny piece of shit part is not magnetic! It's a pain in the ass to fish it from that hole!

Good idea, and don't forget to check the main line going to the carb also. I replace that cross over tube every time I have the tank off.:2thumbs:

Mines fell off before at the connection to the carb at stop light - Bike was hot, yea that was fun!

I got rid of those clamps because they dont fit right and just used a hose clamp so I could get it where it needs to be.

You expect us to believe that????? if you werent smoking at the time it was because you just finished one and were about to light another one.
you probably dropped the new one on the head and accidentally touched the hose while trying to retrieve the cigarette.

and no, we're not going to call you lucky, you already have enough nicknames, even some we can repeat in polite company.
