Hey Big Doggers. I installed a new Medallion Speedometer on my 2006 Ridgeback and the Check engine light is on. I do not have the EFI model. I wired it up per instructions and all works perfect, just don't know how to get that light off. Can anyone tell me how to get it to turn off. Please help.

yeah, all connections are tight and secure. light was off at first and came on after running a little while so I took it back apart and checked the connections. It seems like this new speedometer has a memory. I have a call in to BDMPP to see if they can help too.

Good luck man, When I installed the Medallion on my efi 07 bulldog, the low fuel light never worked. I'm just too lazy to pull it back apart to check for a problem. Going to be interesting to hear what they have to say. Other than the low fuel light issue, I'm liking the Medallion.

if the idol falls below 900 rpm the light will stay on. Does it stay on all the time or just at a stand still?

Hey Iman
The idle was below 900 at a stand still when I first started it up and was showing LOW RPM, but I have turned it up to 1050-1075 now which is normal range. Light is staying on all the time. Do you think it may clear itself after running a while? Haven't had a chance to ride since I put it back together. Been raining here a lot.

it should clear itself after bumping up the rpm - if it hasn't then, it may be a rubbing issue. My neutral light would stay on all the time. I covered all wires touching bucket with electrical tape and its off now. I'm thinking wrap the wires loosely if doing any rubbing on any surface

Thanks Iman and pknowles for your help. I pulled the speedo again and found that the heat shrink I put on the black wire that was cut and not used had came loose I guess when I put it back together. I re-covered it and put it all back together. The light is off. Thanks again guys. BTW, still no response from BDMPP.
