I don't know. Something has to be cheaper about it. As the old saying goes...."you get what you pay for."

I’ve always loved the looks of those spike air cleaners but they do rob your power. Not enough airflow
Guaranteed HMAN you’ll have to rejet and readjust carb to run that and you’re gonna lose Power.
I’ll take power over looks anytime besides I like the looks of the stock cleaner as well.

Performance gain ?? Everyone we've tested lost a ton of power. Also we've had to jet down (lean the carb jetting). That A/cleaner is a question of looks VS. power.

Hey John which air cleaner do you recommend? I have a s&s 124 ci bored to 128 ci, running a 654 s&s cam, s&s super g, a set of FSD pipes, I know the motor was built with crazy stupid upgrades cause it dynoed at 140 at rear wheel. The air cleaner i am running at the moment is the BDM spike, but i have the BDM velocity stack in the box never used.

Mine has the spike it came with. Some just like the look over performance. Just throwing it out there, wasnt trying to suggest any type of gains. Just a decent looking cheaper spike. Thats all.

If you're on a budget, the S&S Stealth works well without breaking the bank (I use a lot of these). S&S traditional with the wide element, and spacer kit works great. It's pricey. Any air cleaner, with a real wide element that interferes with your leg should work well also.

What did you have to mod to get that to fit? OR was there a model that fit up?
It was made for a Harley so I had to drill new holes that aligned to my throttle body make new spacers between the air cleaner base and the head.

It came with a couple different length spacers, all too short of course, so I cut one in half and stacked them together.

Just found this cheap ass spike on Amazon. $70. Not a DM but looks decent.

Got one just like that laying on my shelf in the shop . Would not work on 117 made it run really rough.
