I do think 1k is worth it.... geeezzzzzzzz Imagine buying all this parts separately... If they fit your model, of course.

Just look how much cost a BDM pad & back plate for the sissy bar on nowadays!!!

And what would it be worth when finished? No title?
You would get a MO with a motor and trans so it would be titled as a custom build. My CL had a Harley 103 motor and 6 speed trans for $3500 last week. He also had the Harley title for $100 extra. So for around $6k you could have one hell of a bike.

Well Harry if you don't mind the ride to look at it I'd be interested. But it would have to be shipped. I see its pickup only though.

Title goes with the frame in California. Was riding my HD and got hit by a car. Trashed the frame and I replaced it. Had to get a Special Construction Registration Plate attached to the new frame.

Pretty much the same here in Ohio. I switched cabs on a burned out dump truck a few years back. Turned into a real hassle getting a title and I had a salvage title to start with. They wanted to know where every nut and bolt came from. Never again for me.

Basically the same in Fl. As long as you have receipts for the main parts you're good to go. Since I built most of my bikes I've been through it many times. You take the bike to the sheriffs office with the receipts and they check the numbers and give you a sticker to put on the bike. Then to the DMV where they will title it.

We have no inspection, helmet laws or income tax.... Fl is great! Except when the snow birds are here and you can't get into the DMV.... :bang:

Oh, and to make Fl even better today is 74* and tomorrow is going to be 84*...

that really doesn't even look like a big dog frame. registering a special construction in calif isn't that hard just got to do your homework, I did one and it wasn't that bad.
