Came across motoxoutlet.com yesterday while looking for tires. Don't know too much about this company but the prices on the tires for our dogs are the cheapest I have found. They also sell on ebay but prices are a lot higher there. Anyone used them before?

Those are great prices as long as they are not really old stock. I would call and ask about production date on the tire you want before you buy. I switched to Metzler after the problems became commonplace with the Cobra.

Makes me wonder why they're going for so cheap! Wonder what the born on dates are? $224.99 for a 300mm rear tire is unheard of. I like Bow have changed over to Metz after all the splitting issues I've had with AVON...

I just contacted the seller asking for the manufacturer dates on the tires he sells and still awaiting response. I also asked if he would honor his low website price if we bought tires through him via his ebay store since he has a 100% positive feedback.

I purchased Cobra from them 2 yrs ago, date code was current but it split, they did refund me my money without another purchase.
Went with a Metz instead. Doesn't matter what date code the Cobra is, it will prolly still split.

SKOGDOG

One of the old ones.
I too was concerned about the age of the tire, and know that Rocky Mountain ATV is a higher volume business....so I took the info and called Rocky Mountain ATV and price matched, although It included $15 shipping.
Thanks for the heads up, Brian.

Are there common problems with cobra tyres?
What is the size of the tyre that is no longer available for one of the Bigdog years??

A cheap Avon Tire is like a cheap Whore with the clap. Why bother?

I also switched to Metzler. I've had great luck with it. I get more millage out of the Metzler also. I think others on here have the same experience.

I have always use cobra tire, and have had no problems. Over 40000 miles. Most of the time I get 8 to 10 thousand miles on them,

8-10 K miles shit i can't get any where near that on any tyre for the past 30 years on any bike, best i have ever got was 8,500 Klm on a sporty with an Avon Road Runner if any of you older guys remember them they where as had as a rock so you put one on if you were going touring. As for mileage on my K9 i average about 6000 klm, NOT miles. Best was 7500klm on a Metzler, worst 4500klm on an Avon. 1 mile is 2.5 klm.

Maybe it is the quality of the roads that some of us have to ride on, but I don't get anywhere near the mileage on a set of tires that some here claim to get.
But I am still on my original '09 battery, so at least I am doing better than almost everyone at something!

I agree.....Best I ever got was 7000 on a Avon Venom. Only got 1000 on the 3 Avon Cobras (all split) On my second Metzler and only got 4500 miles on the first Metzler.

I just recieved my new tire from Rocky Mountain ATV and the manufacturer date is 5011. Im wondering if I should return this one for one with a newer date since my current Avon started seperating and has a date of 1211. Any suggestions?
