Charging upgrade question

I am doing a compufire vr 32 upgade on a 2005 Pitbull and they sent me this with the kit but I don't know where it is supposed to go. the directions are pretty crappy. It looks similar to the piece behind the crank seal but it certainly doesn't fit there. I think it may be for a different model possibly.20220730_151944.jpg

So apparently that is a spacer to install the opposite way as the original one. I bought my stuff from Wild Steed, Curtis. Those are horrible instructions. Never says anything about discarding the old spacer. Just have to order a new crank seal. Worst ever instructions ever. It also says just unscrew the stator plug set screw and remove the stator plug. Wrong, inner primary case is in the way. Just need a new seal. They should really have better instructions and if I do this to another one I will make a video to share.

The fault lies in that you are using a baker DSSC primary setup which was a niche product only made for the Big Dog's.
No manufacturer can cover all the "CUSTOM" options out there in the wild.
There is a HOW-TO on the forum about installing the Compufire 40A into aBDM but the pics have been lost over the years due to upgrades and externals sites that were the repository of the pictures.

Curtis from Wild Steed responded to me very nicely and is updating his instructions.
"6. To remove the crank seal use a 2” drywall screw. It helps to lean the bike to the right to reduce oil runout from the crankcase. Carefully tap the drywall screw into the center of the metal part of the seal to get it started then carefully drive it in about 1/8” to get a bite on the seal. Do not drive the screw in too far or you may damage the bearing cage. You can then use a slide hammer with vise grips attached to the screw head to easily pull the seal out. Once removed, remove the OEM spacer and toss it. It will be replaced by the new Heavy Duty Spacer"
He was kind of pissed at first but then read his own instructions and has changed them.
