How do I trace a charging system problem?

Do a search in How-to. Try various keywords in yr search or just scroll through the list. As you find posts, look at the number of posts that person has done over the years. It will tell you of their experience and knowledge. Im more mechanical than electrical when it comes to the 12volt world. Good luck my friend.

Test the Voltage Regulator
Test the Stator
Check voltage at the battery when the bike is running at idle and at 2800 rpm
