got about 5k on my 05 pitbull. just got a new battery a few months ago. noticed the other day bike just barely started. Long story short the battery took a charge with the trickle charger but when i fire the bike up and put the meter on it the charging system isn't working. can someone direct me to testing the regulator/rectifier or the stator. thanks :bang:

i have a 2005 k-9 battery barely started my bike after sitting for a few weeks, i rode 110 miles stopped for a while started fine rode another 125 miles stopped for a smoke break bike would not fire just a click. loaded her up on a trailer took to arlen ness shop said the battery was bad, replaced and did not trickle charge between the next few weeks, she started fine and the same thing happened. the system all checks out, but i have went through a few batteries. yes i know i should trickle charge it but if it has enough juice to start and you ride it a few hundred miles it seems odd it strands me after riding it afew hundred miles ?

It generally takes 20 miles to recharge the Battery, you have another issue...
