changing my forward controls ... help

i bought some "retracted" forward controls for my 05 RidgeBack ... yah i said retracted!! that means closer to me.. so spare me the jokes guys :job:

i am going to do the install today or tommorow. has anyone installed these before?? i am looking for some tips to make sure i dont mess anything up.

even though i am a seasoned mechanic speacializing in starters tach boards etc. :D ..................hehe just wanna make sure i dont make mistake.

I think I posted the pages out of the service manual on the fwd controls. They would be in my gallery somewhere or the tech section. Just remember how all the parts came apart so when you put them back together you have it right. Clean and use fresh grease on the brake and shift bushings inside the controls and lube or anti-sieze you hiem joints.

Yes sir! retracted controls installed no problem! knot so im still looking for the invoice so i can tell you where i got them. i haavent had a chance to take pics yet but they look exactly the same just 1" closer. its a factory bigdog kit.

Thinking about putting retracted controls on the wife's 05 chopper.

What exhaust are you running and how close is the rear brake master cyclinder to the pipe after your install ?

i have installed the retracted kit on my 06 k9 with supertrapp 2 into2 i needed to trim the heatshield to clear the rear master.can't even tell it was trimmed and no problems with heat. also gateway big dog had it in stock.
