When changing the handle bar grips with the cruise mate installed, what would be involved?

don't drop the extra parts and put them back as far as I know.
The cruise mate modified the housing for the grip but not the grip itself if memory serves me correctly.

the worst thing to drop is still the stupid little throttle cable ferrells.
I usually drop one at least 3 times before I am done (and most of the time an extra 15 minutes looking for where it rolled or landed. Hand one land in the cuff of my pants -- that one took a while to find.

I lost a Ferrell and found it once then I lost it again and I’ve be running without one on my throttle grip cable. I need to replace the grips and correct this lost Ferrell issue but I need to fork out money on new grips and pegs because the rubber is either gone or in the case of the throttle grip, it turns my hand black when not wearing gloves.

My concern is how the cruise mate is installed. I don't want a bunch of springs and screws falling out when I separate the housing.

It's one spring maybe 2 -- it is not problematic. -- just looking up the install process and proceed slowly and you'll be fine.

Well.....not sure what I'm going to do yet. The grip is not that bad. Just want to get an idea of what could be involved. I just don't want to open a can of worms.

I've done it and the only trouble I've ever had was the damn ferrells.
