Changing air cleaners ??

I want to swap my stock air cleaner for an S&S Teardrop ...
I was told by one person that i needed a certain part # 17-0416
But another says i just need one w/ a mounting plate that will fit a Super G, Or Super E... Any one done this ??

Lee thanx.. I checked there and it was helpful but, I'm trying to get this thing used.
and whether i can use a super g or super e mount seems to be the most whats most common with the ones that are for sale out there ...

I don't use one so don't know much about them but another great source of info is to go to the S&S website - drop down on the "technical" button and go to the instruction sheets - I'm sure everything you will need to know will be on there

Thanx lee.. thats where i got that number.. But most of htese guys yhat have em for sale dont know what else they will fit they just know what they came off of.. I have found a couple on e-bay cheap ... I will keep you posted

Yeah Ody....I have the S&S Desperado on the stock backing plate....:up: I will be doing the Doherty Power Pacc and xXx carb this winter....
