Anyone have any experience with this product? On their web site, they have numerous items in their gallery, that are not guns... to include wheels.

My wheels are turning as this could be an alternative to powder coating or chroming. So, does anyone know about, or have used this product?

I think I'll swing buy the local dealer/applicator when I get home in a few weeks. If this is a viable alternative, there could be some real creative options... and a lot less polishing.

We are looking into it as well. Just need to shop for an oven. This stuff has to be baked just like powder coating.

Cool Ed, I'd like to know some real results from a trusted source.

It's tough to find anyone who does black chrome, thanks for the link.

I want something other then plain chrome or polished aluminum, something different and low maintenance.

I've been doing some work with Matt at BDM. Strictly contract basis now, but hopefully it'll turn into a full time gig again.
Anyway, we have discussed the possibility of going in this direction. Matt is way more receptive to ideas "outside the box" than the old regime, and I am enthusiastic about the options.

That's exciting to hear... all of it. I'd like to see how it turns out, I like the matte finish myself, maybe in a dark gray.

Well I can say...the bigger the interest, the better the chances are that we could offer this option. Obviously I can't speak for Matt, but I could show him this. Personally, I'd love to at least offer this as an option for those wanting something different. So I'm down with it. I guess let's see what kind of buzz we can make!

I like that it looks like you can coat just about anything. You can make your sunglasses match your wheels and handlebars... that's pretty cool in my book. You may have to hire a staff Ed.

Just powdercoat. They add a gloss. Four out of five times you clean it with quick detail. Other time you have to rub on it for a bit with car polish.

Ceracoat is the same stuff, just a higher temp use.

It's also much, much thinner then powder coating, not sure how the hardness and scratch resistance compare though.

I know my lower legs on the forks get pitted from rock strikes.

On PK it is all about the prep and application.

If you had a skilled person like Ed doing it, either should be great, but I can tell you some shops hire day labor to prep for PK.

PK does fisheye. It has been a fun ride, though.

I use it on the guns I build, it holds up extremely well and I can't phantom a car part or motorcycle part taking the abuse my guns go through. I just made a deal with a guy in central fla to coat a complete AR for $140,-. It will definitely keep the cost down to make cool looking AR's.
