How's it going everyone? I bought that k9 it's a carb do you think I'm gonna have to rejet I don't know shit about carbs.
My city Roswell is around 3500 elevation its coming from Florida so sea level I’m hoping to get it by the 15th I have a rally in going to from 16-19 in Ruidoso NM and that’s about 6500-6800 elevation. Just trying to be proactive and have everything ready to go as I plan on taking the k9.

When you get the carb, post a list of the main jet number, and also the intermediate jet number. Also, if any modifications were done to the carb. You will probably get answers, that will get you close, or on the money.

You may have to change a few things, but the mikuni is pretty forgiving. The jets can be off and the bike will still run pretty well. The pilot jet is easy. It is the jet that has the quickest response off of idle. You will notice when you have the right pilot jet. The needle may need changed to a leaner 98 needle. My bike liked the 98 needle after I installed the 585 cam. I'm at 600 ft. At your altitude, the 98 needle would probably work even better. I run a 27.5 pilot, a 98 needle, and a 182.5 main jet. There are 3 outside screws:
1. Drain bowl screw.
2. Idle screw.
3. Low speed air screw.

What you're chasing is the low speed screw. There are two designs so you will know the difference.
a. Air cleaner side is an air adjustment.
b. Engine side is fuel input.

So say the lean out of a carb starts at 6000ft elevation. Below that no adjustment needed.
Think less air the higher you go in elevation, the less fuel is needed. So for the air side you turn that one full turn out for more air. If on the head side, you turn the screw one full turn in for less gas.

Say it's the air screw so you have to make sure the one turn out is still spring loaded so it does not move in or out, and/or fall out.
