42 and up are recommended on big twins 40 are for stock Harley small engines.

Just like all the dual quads and six packs on the old musclecars, looked cool, worked great when tuned properly, but a bitch to get tuned perfect.

Had a 66 GTO with a 389 tri-power, was fantastic set up and never had to mess with it. Maybe Pontiac had it figured out back then...
