Carb re-jetting

I wanted to look and see what size jets I have in my carb today (never done this sort of thing before) and it looked a bit tricky to remove the bowl with the carb on the bike - one screw in particular looked difficult to access - should you remove the carb to rejet? I also noticed by carb has the purple booster already installed - would it still be worth getting the xxx G?
Cheers

Yes you can.. right on the bike. Just need a short screw driver to get at screws. It will help to pull the air cleaner backing plate.

You can change the main jet with only dropping the bowl plug

Thanks Gents - what about the triple x? Would it still make a difference considering I already have the purple booster?

Well they would also bore it out, and the extension screws, oh... lets not forget the chrome...

I suppose a bit of bling couldn't hurt - I'll do the triple x, the single bore, the screw & washer and maybe the cones at the same time - all of that must surely make a noticeable difference and I'll only have to tune the carb once

I'm in - as long as we can get it done quick as ideally I need it before xmas (the only time i'm going to have for the install) - do they need any info. on my bike to have a guess at what jets to install? I may also need longer than the 10 days to send mine back as I live in the UK - if this is going to be an issue then I'm happy to go it alone if you would prefer - do they provide all the gaskets etc? I could be wrong but I can't remember seeing the insulator block on my bike. (between carb and manifold)

If everyones happy then I'm in and I'm going for the chrome G!

Thanks Gas Man - I have got it - I took my jets out tonight just to see what sizes they are - never done that sort of thing before - I found out the hard way that it is probably better to put the bowl plug back in before you turn the fuel back on!
