Carb questions on 05 build up

Energy One
Thanks to the TP rocker boxes I have the oppertunity to do a little work on the heads.

Going to the full size valves 2.0" - 1.605"
Port and polish
restrictor plate removal

Additional items:
.600 cam

Possible: Zero deck to 10.3:1 ( having trouble finding someone local ) I have the deck measurements, and without going positive on the deck height 10.3 is the best I can do.

Question #1: What range of jets should I order?

Question #2: The restrictor plate is very thin, will I need a new intake manifold, as someone suggested or will the gasket suck this small gap up? (the plate looks like it is stamped sheet metal).

thanks

have you gone to a g carb? e is stock on 05's

i have a davinci chrome with 31 intermediate and 80 main

i also did motor work

ported head/stock valves
woods 650 cam with woods springs
decked the cylinders to zero/ went with a .036 head gasket

manifold gasket works fine

The current "E" manifold you have may require a spacer if you are going to re-use the "E" carb. Remember when you deck the cylinders the distance between the heads will change slightly. If you buy the "G" carb upgrade kit from Big Dog (Nelson with Wicked Bastard can get it for you) It will come with the carb, correct intake manifold and gaskets etc. With the engine work you are doing I am guessing you are going to the "G" Carb?

the E carb is probably better for low to mid range because of the faster air flow and the G is better for top end power because it lets in more air due to the bigger venturi. Neither one is better than the other - it just depends what you want from it.

What Lee said, however the S&S .600 cam is more of a mid to top end cam with a higher duration. Woods performance makes several cams from .590 and up that are more of a torque type cam. I think Lee is running a .650 they also have a .630 and .590. You just got to make sure you match up the correct valve springs.
